San Jerónimo is one of two family farms under the purview of Nicholas Hammond, also known as owner of Catalan de Las Mercedes. Located in the valley of San Martín Jilotepeque, they grow Caturra, Catuai, Pache San Ramón and other cultivars under the shade of banana trees. Cherries are hand-picked and processed just down the road at the Catalan mill. While there are pleasant similarities between the two fincas, microclimate creates some discernible differences in the cup. This lot is very balanced, creamy and has a wonderful nuttiness that seems to return every season.
